For nearly a century, the Supreme Court has made it difficult for a president to defy the clear text of a law passed by Congress. The court prevented Franklin D. Roosevelt from firing a leader of the Federal Trade Commission in 1935. It stopped the Reagan administration from defying a pollution investigation in 1988. It helped block Barack Obama’s attempt to expand immigration protections in 2016.
Its decision Monday allowing President Trump to fire F.T.C. commissioners represents a break with this history. The ruling dismisses longstanding precedent and effectively discards a 112-year-old law that said the president could fire commissioners only for “inefficiency, neglect of duty …More

Saint Catherine of Siena – ‘The Dialogue’ 1907; ~ ‘How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour’; pages 44-45

'About the Love of God and the Love of a Neighbor' ~ [Saint Catherine of Siena /Caterina di Benincasa/; XIV-XV Century AD; born: Siena, Republic of Siena/died: Rome, Papal States; aged 33; Spiritual Writer; Mystic; Virgin; Doctor of the Church]
How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour and how it is that virtues differ to such an extent in creatures.
" I have told thee how all sins are accomplished by means of thy neighbour
, through the principles which I exposed to thee, that is, because men are deprived of the affection of love, which gives light to every virtue. In the same way self-love, which destroys charity and affection towards the neighbour, is the principle and foundation of every evil. All scandals, hatred, cruelty, and every sort of trouble proceed from this perverse root of self-love, which has poisoned the entire world, and weakened the mystical body of the Holy Church, and the universal body of the believers in the Christian religion ; and, therefore, I said …More

The REAL Schismatics. The stages and events. How to recognise them and the harm they cause.

1) Any doctrine that does not originate in the Holy Scriptures and which claims to proclaim the Truth is a lie.
a) Saint John 7:18 “He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the Glory of the One who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
b) The FAITHFUL Church will suffer and be persecuted for protecting the Holy Gospel (Bishop Strickland); on the other hand, the schismatics are attempting to reinvent the Church of Jesus, modernise His teachings and introduce obscene laws into the Church (Fiducia suplicans, Pachamama: Cardinal Fernández, Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV).
2) Edson Glauber of Brazil received specific dates for events from the Blessed Mother of God:
a) During the seven years from 2005 to 2012: there will be fierce attacks against the Supreme Pontiff. (Benedict XVI resigned in February 2013).
b) During the seven years from 2012 to 2019: confusion and heresy against the faith, the dogmas and the teachings of the Church will …More

A Fraternal Correction of a Flawed Argument: On Heresy, Jurisdiction, and the Limits of Private Judgment

This article is a response to S.D. Wright’s piece, “Church teaching says you can’t be excommunicated by a heretic,” published at LifeSiteNews. The article can be read here: https://www.lifesitenews.com/analysis/leo-xiv-cant-excommunicate-the-sspx-or-its-bishops-heres-why/ A Surprising Publication I will confess that I did a double take when I saw this piece published at LifeSiteNews. I have followed that outlet for some years, and I hold a genuine respect for much of the work they do in defense of the Faith and of authentic Catholic life. That is precisely why I write this response — not in a spirit of antagonism, but out of a sincere concern for theological clarity at a moment when clarity matters enormously. The article in question, written by S.D. Wright, carries a bold and arresting title: “Church teaching says you can’t be excommunicated by a heretic.” Bold titles are fine — I am not averse to them myself. The problem is when the argument beneath the title fails to deliver what the …

I think it's a difficult argument to make definitively and decisively. Therefore, it is much more correct to say the so-called "excommunications" are completely without effect since the troubling state of the Church--awash in heterdoxy and a hierarchy sympathetic to it, a Church that rubber stamps the Consecration of Communist Chinese Bishops without a second thought and under the guidelines of a secret agreement with them, a Church that smiles upon sexual deviancy, receives such deviants in audience, writes books about Our Lord (Tucho) that are shamefully immoral, issues encyclicals that cause moral confusion in the universal Church, and more-- such so-called "excommunications' are without effect since a state of necessity and emergency are absolutely clear....far more so today than they were in 1988.

Centrist Tricks Favoring the Left

– Folha de S. Paulo, July 2, 1969 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
A radical and cunning leftward-moving centrism is the left’s best “cheering squad.”
If Our Lord Jesus Christ appeared visibly in Brazil, our center-left critics would accuse Him of agitation.
They would naturally try to portray the Man-God using the Institutional Act and the National Security Law based on their own interpretation.
I came to this conclusion after considering two common and clearly center-left objections I’ve heard against the TFP’s most recent campaign.
Before analyzing these objections, I want to briefly point out a common contradiction among most of those who raise them. They are notably hostile to the Institutional Act and the National Security Law, arguing that by limiting the freedom of thought of communists, these laws inherently violate human freedom in its most fundamental form.
Yet, they conveniently ignore the liberal principles they claim to uphold when it comes to the TFP, and no legal restrictions …More

‘The Complete Visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich’ ~ ‘The bitter passion of our Lord Jesus Christ’ ~ MEDITATION VIII; ‘Institution of the Holy Eucharist..’; part I

[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness]
MEDITATION VIII
‘Institution of the Holy Eucharist’
By command of our Lord,
the major-domo had again laid out the table, which he had raised a little; then, having placed it once more in the middle of the room, he stood one urn filled with wine, and another with water underneath it. Peter and John went into the part of the room near the hearth, to get the chalice which they had brought from Seraphia’s house, and which was still wrapped up in its covering. They carried it between them as if they had been carrying a tabernacle, and placed it on the table before Jesus. An oval plate stood there, with three fine white azymous loaves, placed on a piece of linen, by the side of the half loaf …More

"Jesus was seated between Peter and John, the doors were closed, and everything was done in the most mysterious and imposing manner. When the chalice was taken out of its covering, Jesus prayed, and spoke to his Apostles with the utmost solemnity. I saw him giving them an explanation of the Supper, and of the entire ceremony, and I was forcibly reminded of a priest teaching others to say Mass."

Holy See rules SSPX bishops excommunicated, strips faculties for two sacraments

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — Following the Society of Saint Pius X’s consecration of four new bishops, the Holy See has declared all six of the Society’s bishops are now excommunicated, and further warned of heavy penalties for the clergy and faithful attached to the Society. Following through with its prior warnings from May 13 and from June 30, the Vatican has now announced that the penalty of latae sententiae excommunication has been incurred by all six SSPX bishops: Alfonso de Galarreta and Bernard Fellay, Pascal Schreiber, Michael Goldade, Michel Poinsinet de Sivry, Marc Hanappier. The first two were consecrator and co-consecrator at the July 1 ceremony, while the other four were those in receipt of the order of bishop. All six SSPX bishops, July 1, 2026 The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s Decree cites the reasons as being “episcopal consecration of four presbyters, without a papal mandate and against the will of the Supreme Pontiff,” and then for Bp. Fellay as having …

Cat muse Zealous adherence to salvation of souls ?

CatMuse

Canon law is an evolving aspect of Church life. New situations not envisaged at the time of definition are not always well served by it. Unlike Catholic dogmatic teachings and the natural law, it needs to be refined to cater for the emerging situations. Here we have a zealous adherence to the changeable on the one hand but the tyrannical imposition of the rejection of the unchangeable. A rigid legalistic imposition to serve the flux of dissolution.

Russia seizes mammoth cocaine haul hidden in frozen fish – FSB (VIDEO)

Security services found more than half a ton of drugs in a contraband shipment from Ecuador at a St. Petersburg port, the agency has said Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced that it has disrupted a major drug supply route from Latin America to the country and has seized over half a ton of cocaine hidden inside a shipment of frozen fish from Ecuador. In a statement on Wednesday, the agency said the drugs were found in a container that arrived at the Great Port of St. Petersburg by sea. The cocaine had been concealed inside legally imported frozen, ungutted tuna carcasses. A Russian citizen suspected of helping organize the scheme has been detained. An FSB operative noted that the suspect was unemployed and had been linked to a criminal group involved in cocaine smuggling. The agency released footage of the raid, showing officers detaining the man and cutting open dozens of frozen tuna with a chainsaw to remove hundreds of packages of cocaine. FSB operatives also searched …

"The formula used by Tucho to excommunicate priests and laypeople lacks penal effectiveness"

"An Explanatory Note Cannot Excommunicate"

On 2 July, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, led by Cardinal Víctor Fernández, issued a decree and an accompanying explanatory note on the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). InfoVaticana.com notes the two documents carry very different legal weight.
The decree declares that the six bishops directly involved in the 1 July illicit episcopal consecrations have incurred latae sententiae excommunication.
Canon law permits only a declaratory decree or judicial sentence to declare such penalties, limiting the decree's legal effect to those six bishops.
The explanatory note goes further, stating that FSSPX priests are in schism, and that lay faithful who formally adhere to the schism incur excommunication.
However, the note has no penal force because it is neither a law, a penal precept, nor a declaratory decree or judicial sentence, but simply a doctrinal explanation.
Furthermore, latae sententiae excommunication requires an individual assessment of culpability and cannot …More

‘SELECTED WRITINGS’ – Saint Hildegard of Bingen; Translated by Mark Atherton – ‘II. Songs for Saint Rupert’; pages 99-101

[Saint HILDEGARD OF BINGEN ~ XI-XII Century AD; born: Bermersheim, Holy Roman Empire/died: Bingen am Rhein, Holy Roman Empire, aged 81; Abbess, Polymath, Writer, Composer, Mystic, Visionary, Philosopher, Medical Writer and Practitioner, Composer of Sacred Monophony, Virgin, Founder, Doctor of the Church]
II. Songs for Saint Rupert
[According to the Life of Hildegard by Gottfried of Disibodenberg and Theoderich of Echternach, the call to Move from Disibodenberg came to Hildegard in a vision, accompanied by a bout of illness in which she remained until she consented to reveal what the vision had said to her. The place to which she felt called was the Rupertsberg, or Mount St Rupert, a site on a large hill overlooking what is now the modern town of Bingen in the Rhine Valley. At the time of Hildegard’s move in 1150, there was just an old ruined chapel dedicated to the eighth-century saint, while the rest of the area was cultivated as a vineyard. Rupert’s original monastery had been destroyed …More
