Brigitte Stegemann was an 83-year-old great-grandmother and a Christian. On July 10, she died through Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program in Ontario. Diagnosed with terminal Stage IV stomach cancer, Stegemann had wanted to die naturally. But while her granddaughter and longtime legal representative, Brigitte Kranendonk, was away on vacation, medical personnel discussed MAiD with Stegemann. She was subsequently deemed capable of choosing MAiD despite allegedly being unable to answer basic questions about her own family. Canadian Catholic News reported that Kranendonk said her grandmother had originally rejected MAiD but was persuaded to request it during her absence. When Kranendonk returned and asked her grandmother whether she really wanted to die, Stegemann’s reaction was heartbreaking. “I’m supposed to die on Friday? They want to kill me on Friday?”, she reportedly asked through tears. Her family says she later repeatedly expressed regret, telling them she had made a …વધારે

On 6 August, Italian journalist David Murgia published the results of a confidential 2016 consultation within the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith concerning the alleged apparitions at Medjugorje on IlSegnoDiGiona.com. Two Thirds of the Congregation said Medjugorje was NOT Supernatural According to Murgia, 33 participants were asked to provide written opinions, or 'vota', on the Medjugorje phenomenon. Murgia reports the following results (17 September 2016): 21 participants chose 'constat de non supernaturalitate' (not of supernatural origin). 9 participants chose 'constat de supernaturalitate' (supernatural origin). 3 chose 'non constat de supernaturalitate' (the supernatural character has not been established). This corresponds to approximately 63.6 per cent for 'not supernatural', while only nine voted in favour. Ruini Commission, 2010-2014 This voting followed the work of the International Commission of Inquiry on Medjugorje, commonly known as the Ruini Commission. The …વધારે

A Midwestern Doctor @MidwesternDoc Jackson had the same spine injury that left Christopher Reeves paralyzed for life. He fully recovered, stunning the world His mom’s secret? DMSO—a simple compound vets use for spinal injuries the FDA won’t approve. But that’s not the only “incurable” neurological disorder DMSO helps. Approximately 2000 studies support DMSO's use for conditions ranging from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's to strokes, MS, ALS, chronic pain, neuropathy, depression, epilepsy, and Down syndrome, and a physician who began treating his patients with it estimates roughly 80% of what people see neurologists for goes away with DMSO.
Bishop Mark A. Eckman, 67, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will bring an end to the traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa after nearly 20-years. Bishop Eckman was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh in 2021. In June 2025, Leo XIV promoted him to Bishop of Pittsburgh. In a letter dated 7 August (see below), Monsignor Eckman announced that the final Mass to be held at St. Titus using the 1962 Missal is scheduled for 4 September. The remaining two traditional Latin Masses in Pittsburgh are offered by the Institute Christ the King in Brighton Heights and by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in the West End. Bishop Eckman said his predecessor, Bishop David A. Zubik, received Vatican permission in 2022 to continue the Mass at St. Titus. The initial two-year authorization was extended in September 2024 for another two years. The Bishop didn't seek another extension, “The permission to celebrate according to the older ritual in a parish church was only ever meant to be …વધારે
He really does not think that the Novus Ordo Mass is better and more Catholic. He is afraid of competition. He thinks the NOM can't compete. If he really thought that the NOM was better and more adapted to the modern mentality he would want everybody to experience the TLM so they could see how inferior it is compared to the NOM. It seem that he thinks that the NOM is an inferior product that needs protection from competition. Having 60 years of almost complete Novus Ordo monopoly is not enough? Monopolies create weakness. Competition makes men and institutions strong.

Mexican Bishop Hops Left and Right Before the Altar: Bishop José Leopoldo González González, 71, of San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, hopped and danced in liturgical vestments, including his mitre, during Emaús 2026. The diocesan gathering brought together more than 5,000 young Catholics on 23–24 May in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco. González explained that a young man had told him the dance was simple—“one step to the right and another to the left” - and joked that he had “fallen into the trap.”
During Emaús 2026 in San Miguel el Alto, Bishop José Leopoldo González González drew attention for his energetic participation with young people during the activities and Mass.

[Saint Catherine of Genoa ~ XV-XVI Century; born: Genoa, Republic of Genoa/ died: Genoa, Republic of Genoa; (aged 62-63); Mystic; Spiritual Writer] Chapter XVI ~ THE SAINT SHOWS THAT THE SUFFERINGS OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY DO NOT DESTROY THEIR PEACE OR THEIR JOY. I SEE that the souls in purgatory in the midst of their pains are sensible of doing two things : First, that they are suffering willingly ; for when they perceive their own deserts and God's Majesty, they think that He is treating them with great leniency in afflicting them as He does ; for had not goodness tempered justice with mercy through the satisfactions of the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, a thousand hells would have been the portion of a single sin through all eternity. Hence they suffer all their pains gladly, and would not rid them of a single pang, knowing that all is justly deserved and righteously ordained : they no more complain of God, so far as their will is concerned, than if they were in life eternal. Secondly …વધારે
"Secondly, they are conscious of feeling positive satisfaction in beholding the love and mercy with which God orders His work within them. They are made sensible of these two facts at one and the same moment, and being in a state of grace, understand them as they are, each soul according to its capacity ; and they experience great happiness, which never grows less, but, on the contrary, goes on increasing the nearer they approach God."
So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. Saint Romanus, Martyr - August 9th SaintoftheDay He said the same thing before the tribunal that he had said everywhere else since his baptism: I am a Christian. He had been a Christian for perhaps one day. It was enough. One day of truth is sufficient for a martyr's crown. He could not understand how a man of flesh and blood could be tortured without opening his mouth to complain. Then he saw the Angel. That is always the order — first the inexplicable endurance, then the supernatural explanation. Faith works the same way. The faithful sins if his neighbor sins — that was Saint Matthias's saying. Romanus saw a neighbor suffering for Christ and could not remain indifferent. He converted on the spot. He was beheaded the next day. His neighbor's martyrdom was his baptism. Grace is contagious. He saw beside the tortured martyr a young man of incomparable grace and beauty wiping away the blood. No one else seemed to see him. That vision cost Romanus his life. He considered it well spent. – Folha de S. Paulo, July 9, 1984 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira IN A world wide report by the Ansa News Agency also published by several Roman dailies, “comrade” Alessandro Natta, the new Secretary General of the Italian Communist Party affirmed, in an interview requested by Vatican Radio, that he did not see the Catholic Faith as an “obstacle,” but on the contrary, a “possible point of support” for the “perspectives” that, in his judgment, the Italian Communist Party (PCI) and the Catholic Church have in common. These perspectives are: “the liberation of man and the peoples, the affirmation of the values of peace and morality in their highest sense” (Il Messaggero, Rome, 6-30-84). On that occasion, the interviewer appointed by Vatican Radio asked Natta if “something new will arise in the relations between the PCI and the Catholic world.” The answer of the Italian politician was evasive, but not devoid of significance: “It would be timely and just to follow the inspiration that began …વધારે
