Vatican Denies Reports on Rupnik Trial - Victims Still Unheard

Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said today that “reports of any deliberation by the judges following the case of Rev. Marko Ivan Rupnik are absolutely unfounded.”
He said the evaluation is still ongoing and the panel is examining documentation from the dioceses involved, the Jesuits, interested parties, and the press. “During the trial, as with any judicial proceeding, no information regarding ongoing activity can be shared in any way, out of respect for the trial itself and to avoid harming anyone involved.”
Bruni added that the canonical criminal proceeding “may provide guidance regarding guilt or innocence in accordance with Canon Law,” while Rupnik remains subject to the civil laws and statutes of limitations of the countries where any crimes were allegedly committed.
Meanwhile, Laura Sgrò - the lawyer representing five women accusing Rupnik - said the Vatican process has been almost completely opaque.
She told the Associated Press that, as of July 2026, her clients had never been …ច្រើន

But that last question?!
Why was it even necessary to ask that?
From that journalist.
Because that option is the option of failure. The option of giving up.
So why refer to it with such a question and thereby (perhaps only half-consciously) prefer it? Suggest it?

German Dioceses Rule Out Expansion of the Roman Rite

Several German Catholic dioceses have told De.CatholicNewsAgency.com on July 21 that they have no plans to expand the celebration of the Mass in the Roman rite.
The dioceses that replied included the three "conservative" German dioceses Passau, Regensburg, and Cologne and the pro-homosexual Archdiocese of Hamburg.
Passau and Cologne offered only brief responses, confirming that no expansion of the Traditional Latin Mass is currently planned.
Regensburg Diocese, where the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) operates a seminary, provided a more detailed explanation of its position: "A sufficient number of opportunities to celebrate Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite is an important pastoral response to the sometimes aggressive missionary activity of the Society of St. Pius X and its supporters," diocesan spokesman Stefan Groß said.
He added that the FSSPX continues to refuse full communion with the Pope, particularly regarding its understanding of religious freedom …ច្រើន

Porn Moguls Arrested for 59 Charges

Pornographers-influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate - former webcam entrepreneurs turned pornographers-influencers – were arrested in Miami on July 18 following a provisional extradition request from the United Kingdom.
The brothers also remain under criminal investigation in Romania. Allegations include human trafficking, rape, money laundering, and witness tampering.
They face a total of 59 charges authorized by the UK's Crown Prosecution Service.
They are British-American but have lived in Romania for years. Romanian prosecutors lifted the brothers' travel restrictions in February 2025, allowing them to leave the country. Later that month, they traveled to Florida by private jet.
In March, Andrew Tate's then-girlfriend, Brianna Stern, filed a civil lawsuit alleging that he assaulted her at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, accusing him of choking her nearly to unconsciousness, beating her, and threatening to kill her. Tate has denied the allegations.
The Tates were in Miami to …ច្រើន

Historic First: Two Women to Lead German Deanery

Two women will jointly lead the Catholic Deanery of Bremen-Nord, Hildesheim Diocese, for the first time, marking a historic shift in church leadership. The decision was announced on July 21.
Ute Zeilmann is a theologian and will oversee pastoral ministry and the pastoral staff. Agnes Dobrzynski will lead administration. Both have worked in the Bremen-Nord deanery for several years.
To meet canonical requirements, Rev Johannes Pawellek will act as moderating priest, accompanying the new leadership team after his retirement in November 2026.
The pastoral team will also be joined by Rev Pradyut Bahla, an Indian priest currently pursuing doctoral studies in Frankfurt. He will serve in Bremen-Nord for five years.
The two women want “to embrace the global Church's call to synodality: leading together, listening to the Holy Spirit, and moving away from isolated leadership decisions”.

France: 91 Contemplative Monasteries Have Closed in 20 Years

A new study of Catholic contemplative monasteries has found that 91 monasteries have closed in France over the past two decades, representing nearly one-third of the country's contemplative houses.
The findings come from French sociologist Isabelle Jonveaux, a specialist in monastic life at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), whose research was published by LaVie.fr on July 21.
Several well-known monasteries have already announced their closure for 2026, including La Grande Trappe of Soligny (Orne), the Carmel of Compiègne (Oise), and Notre-Dame du Port-du-Salut (Mayenne).
According to the study, nearly 30% of France's contemplative monasteries have disappeared since 2007. Women's communities have been affected more severely than men's, with 32% of women's monasteries closing compared with 21% of men's.
The pace of closures has also accelerated. Until around 2015, France averaged fewer than four monastery closures per year. Today, the figure is close to ten annually.

Vatican News Documentary Back Online After Copyright Dispute: The Vatican News documentary about Pope Leo XIV has been restored on YouTube after being unavailable for approximately three days. The documentary was blocked following a copyright claim by RAI. RAI later issued a public statement about the incident, saying the interruption lasted only "a few hours" and that the material used in the documentary had been properly requested and licensed. During the period the documentary was unavailable, the Dicastery for Communication did not issue a public statement about the outage. SilereNonPossum.com argues that RAI's statement was intended to protect the Vatican's communications office.

After three days offline, RAI rushes to Palazzo Pio’s rescue

After Silere non possum exposed the issue, the Vatican documentary returned online and the public broadcaster issued a statement playing down both how long it had been unavailable and its responsibility for the copyright claim. Vatican City - On 18 July 2026, the German website domradio.de reported: ‘The Vatican has produced three video documentaries about Pope Leo XIV. The last of them, which follows his career in Rome, has now been blocked until further notice. There appear to have been legal difficulties.’ The German outlet reported that YouTube had suspended the Dicastery for Communication’s documentary over copyright issues following a claim lodged by RAI. The story is particularly significant, although the Italian press chose not to report it, for reasons that Silere non possum has been exposing and documenting for years: the relationship between certain figures in the media and Palazzo Pio has become so collusive as to be embarrassing. Inside the Vatican walls, however, the affair …

Nigerian Priest Dies by Suicide Before Forced Return to Africa

Father Benjamin Okwy Madu, 54, a Nigerian Catholic priest serving in the Archdiocese of Boston, died by suicide on July 2.
The tragic sin happened weeks before his U.S. religious-worker visa expired and he was required to return to Nigeria.
He had served as a hospital chaplain and a weekend Mass celebrant for a parish collective on Cape Ann.
An email message on behalf of Archbishop Richard Henning said the priest “tragically took his own life.”
Friends and parishioners said the prospect of leaving America deeply distressed him. "I sensed he was afraid of something. He never would communicate what it was." — George Lieser, parishioner at St. Joachim Church, told ACI Africa on July 14.
Days before his death, he reportedly suffered a panic attack on his way to celebrate Mass.
In a farewell letter, he admitted that returning to Nigeria was "not my wish," but said circumstances beyond his control had ended his ministry in the United States.

Suicide is never permited, true, unless... THE only cases ARE when Almighty Father MAY grant Mercy to those with Clinical evidence.
There are some illneses like for example acumulation of lewy bodies in the brain (Robin Williams is one case as example) replication of dna like huntigton's disease... The individual, clinically speaking, dont have rationality when their brains are compromised biologically with strange and weird diseases. Again, God is the Righteous and Ultimate Judge, He may or may not take that into account, but it is more likely than not that He will. I surrender to His Might and Divine and Just Mercy as He knows best.

A Modern Orthodox Jew on Preserving Hebrew and the Latin Mass — Beyond These Stone Walls

A conversation between Father Gordon MacRae and his friend, a Modern Orthodox Jewish scholar, has something to add to the debate about preserving Latin in the Mass. July 22, 2026 by Seth Bader, J.D. with an Introduction by Father Gordon MacRae Introduction In the image above this post, Melchizedek, the Priest-King of Genesis 14, blesses Abraham with a sacrificial offering of bread and wine (The Meeting of Abraham and Melchizedek painted by Juan Antonio de Frias y Escalante in 1668, housed at the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain). The winds of war have reached hurricane force, and the rule of law and authority in both Church and State clashes against public sentiment. And the weather has not cooperated at all. It is about 105 degrees inside this place on the day I write. None of this has been comfortable. Back in 2021, I wrote a post entitled, “A House Divided: Cancel Culture and the Latin Mass…
